When Exhaustion Feels Like Faithfulness: A Gentle Reminder for Busy Christian Moms

Hey Mama,

Have you ever felt like if life wasn’t difficult… you weren’t doing enough?

Like if you weren’t stressing about something, the other shoe was about to drop?

Or maybe—if you’re honest—you feel most “Christian” when you're the busiest and have the most on your plate.

Me too.

Somewhere along the way, many of us started believing a quiet lie:

Exhaustion equals faithfulness.

That if we’re constantly pouring ourselves out, saying yes to everything, and pushing through overwhelming schedules… then we must be doing something right.

The Lie Many Christian Moms Believe

We’ve been conditioned to think:

  • Busy = productive

  • Overwhelmed = important

  • Exhausted = faithful

But can I gently remind you of something?

That’s not how God intends for us to live.

God isn’t handing out gold stars for overcommitted schedules.

He’s not more pleased with you because you're carrying more.

What God Actually Desires From You

He is not asking you to prove your worth through busyness.

He is not measuring your faith by how exhausted you feel.

He is lovingly inviting you into something better.

“Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
— Matthew 11:28

God isn’t asking you to do the most.

He’s asking you to be obedient.

Nothing more.
Nothing less.
Nothing else.

You Are Already Loved—Right Now

Pause here for a moment.

If you belong to Jesus, you are His daughter.

And that means something powerful:

God is already pleased with you.

Not because of what you accomplish today.
Not because of how much you check off your list.

But simply because you are His.

A Question That Can Change Everything

Let’s slow down and reflect together:

What might you be carrying right now that God never actually asked you to carry?

Sometimes the most spiritual thing we can do isn’t adding more…

It’s stepping back.

Praying.

Realigning.

Letting go.

How to Move From Striving to Clarity

If you’ve been stuck in that cycle of striving, overwhelm, and constant pressure—you’re not alone.

And you don’t have to stay there.

That’s exactly why I created something simple and intentional to help you reset:

The Faith First Reset (60-Minute Guided Process)

Inside, you’ll:

  • Take a simple spiritual audit

  • Identify your 3 most important priorities

  • Create weekly and daily rhythms rooted in faith

  • Walk away with clarity, peace, and direction

Many women say this helped them finally figure out:

“What actually matters right now.”

It’s Time to Redefine Faithfulness

Yes, we have work to do.

But faithfulness doesn’t mean doing everything.

It means doing what God actually asked you to do.

With peace.
With clarity.
With Him.

A Prayer for You Today

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for making me Your daughter. Thank You for loving me unconditionally and for being pleased with me simply because I belong to You.

Forgive me for the times I’ve tried to earn Your love through busyness or prove my worth through doing more.

Help me rest in Your grace.

Give me wisdom to know what You are asking of me in this season—and the courage to release what You never intended me to carry.

Strengthen me to stay focused on what matters most and to walk in joyful obedience.

Thank You for being with me every step of the way.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Less Guilt. More Grace.

You are deeply loved by God.

And you don’t have to prove that—you get to live from it.

Your friend & fellow busy mama,
Brittany
